Yeti another quilt

I was checking out the Yeti at the Northern Hang and decided that a 3/4 under quilt would work good for me. I use a frameless pack with a piece of cc pad for support. The pad will work perfect under my feet slipped between the BB layers. I am a cold sleeper, so for now I'm considering this a three season quilt. Not quite sold on winter use. Some of these guys must have ice in their veins. I may use it with my HR UQ from JRB in really cold weather. Will work great for a layering system. It was smaller and lighter than a different one I was looking at which was also very nice. I am surprised that the Jacks don't offer a 3/4 length. I thought I read on a different post on their philosophy of using a full length as apposed to a 3/4, but I see it working great for a lot of people. So here I go, Yeti another quilt .

They are great quilts. I think that most folks that try them end-up liking them. I was very skeptical when I first tried it; after one very cold night while I stayed warm...I was sold totally and completely.

It's a logical progression; ultralightweight backpackers using their short torso pads and placing the unused items under the lower legs while sleeping-----so what will be the next transmogrification from the ground dwellers to us who sleep on high?
I've only used the Yeti to 49F which I'm sure in no way approaches its lower limit even for me who has boiling water in my veins But since I'm so cold I'll be the first to apply the new gizmo warbonnetdude is working on....wonder if it will have a battery pack like the hunter's socks?

I am currently looking at buying either a Yeti or a Stivers UQ. I thought a 3/4 UQ would leave your legs a bit cold, but the feedback on HF is just the opposite. Let me know how your yeti works out.

It's a reflective liner that snaps in place to the Yeti. Goes between the Yeti and the hammock. Should give a nice little temp boost.

don't put the leg pad between the layers, a leg only pad is easier directly under your legs in the hammock.

Stivers is my last name, fyi. anyway, like others stated while using a shortie UQ you'll need something under your legs usually below 65° or so. A sit pad, nightlite pad, reflectix, pack, spare clothes, you get the idea. Sometimes I use the multi-funtional sit pad @ 1.4 ounce and it works great. It depends on the weight of my pack, but under 10lbs doesnt require much support for the pack. the nightlite pad is overkill, as i determined this weekend.

Do you think it will slide down towards the butt if put in between the layers?
