MI - Manistee River Trail - Memorial Day Weekend

My wife and I are planning on doing this trail over Memorial Day weekend and would love company, so long as the weather is remotely decent. Going to roughly follow Boudah's itinerary from this past fall, shifted a day:
(Since he described it so well, going to steal his post, sorry Boudah!)

Saturday May 31st - Start - AM - Hike aprox 9 miles from Upper River to Eddington Creek. (NCT side)

Sunday - aprox 11 miles from Edd. Creek to stealth spot on the river south of Cottage Rd.

Monday - Hike out a few miles.

Roughly 23 miles total..

My better half and I hiked this trail last memorial day. It was surprisingly very busy. However beautiful! It was her first trip ever. Have fun. Im taking my niece to nordhouse that weekend. I dont think she can do 10 miles in a day. But it may be our 2nd choice.

Thats the problem with working a corporate job. All you chunks of time off are going to be the same as everyone else's.

I like the itinerary and would love to join, but can't Memorial Day weekend. I went from Marilla trail head going counter-clockwise last time but hope to try it this way next time I'm out.

Memorial day weekend or the weekend of the 31st? Memorial day is the 26th.

We did it that way last fall. Just past the bridge at Eddington the trail loops back on itself around a little hill. We hung on top of that hill and had a great view of the area.

I was going to head down to HNF to explore some lesser known trials but instead I think I might head north. Been wanting to check out that area for some time now.
