This is the annual camping trip for our church, Church of the Messiah, Episcopal Church. There will be mostly ground-dwellers and probably a couple of RVers (but no generators). Counting Gumbo and me, there will be at least two hangers. We hope some HF folks can join us and share some of your expertise with the uninitiated. Maybe we can convince a few them that we aren't so weird for sleeping in the trees.
This is a church outting but I promise nobody's going to try to convert you. We are Episcopalians - we welcome everyone and we won't tell on you if you drink a beer!
In the middle of October, the weather should be beautiful. We'll expect to have meals covered, but as always, bring some survival food. It's drive-up camping with drinking water, showers and flush toilets, fire ring, lake for kayaking & fishing and besides Gumbo will be in charge of chow, so uh.... what more incentive do you need??
