My First 32 Degree Hammock Hang

I went on a camp out with my Son and his Boy Scout Troop and thought I would share. We were at Camp Maywood near Wautoma WI. This is my Son's second year in Boy Scouts and the first time they cooked their own meals for their own patrol the whole weekend. They did a really good job and I was proud of them. So after dinner we relaxed by the fire. As I went to seek some shuteye and curl up in the hammock at 9pm it was 53 degrees. I planned for cold weather and brought my full length double PLUQ with a small piece of sleep pad in between the PLUQ layers. There was quite a bit of wind and at about 6am it was 32 degrees. It stayed 32 until about 8am. The next night it rained and only got down to 34 degrees. All and all I stayed pretty warm except for my nose! It was a good weekend and the Scouts had a great time.

Looks like a great time. Congratulations on a keeping warm. The Scouts seem to be having a good time of it.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

The last pic is weird, but I thought it was funny the dry area that was left from my tarp after the nights rain

Did you cover your nose with a Buff, or pulling your beanie down over your nose? I'm asking because that's how I keep my nose warm. Sounds like a really good time. Oh and nice UQ by the way! Nice tapered fit.

I just turned to the side to keep my nose semi-insulated. It wasn't too bad. Well worth it to spend the night above ground
