    A new face from Europe

    Hi All,

After looking around here for a bit in this treasure trove of information(and opinions). I decided it was time to join up.
I'm still fairly new to hammock camping still(got on the band wagon last summer) and because it is still something you don't see much here around except in the bushcraft circles, I was looking further abroad for a source of information and a place of discussion.
So here I am. A dutch guy whose gone hammock camping instead of suffering along on the ground. I found my ground setup wasn't comfortable anymore for a big guy, and after having looked at hammocking 5 years ago I got back to it through the bushcraft scene here.
I got me a TTTM double for my birthday and after a short test hang I felt comfy. So I took it with my to Sweden last summer with an improvised bugnet and UQ, and after being dead to the world for 12 hours the first night I was completely sold.
I got me a bespoke set of UQ and TQ from UKHammocks, and am now anxiously awaiting delivery of an upgrade to the TTTM. I have Warbonnet Blackbird XLC 1.7 double on the way. Hope to get it before me next planned trip of hanging out end of may.

Welcome and how's the hanging in the Netherlands?!

Welcome to HF from Georgia. We have several members in the Netherlands who seem to be quite active. Best of luck on your hammock adventures.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Welcome RedBlockMan from just some clicks north of you (Zuid-Holland).
Same story here. Needed some low profile place to sleep, also just received my UQ.

    Happy hanging!

    Stuff is hanging well

Stuff is hanging well over here, just been on a trip last weekend.

This is on one of the free camping sites in the Netherlands, near Chaam for those who know it. It's just a quick pic I grabbed with my phone.

    Thanks for all the welcomes.

    Welcome from Philly.
When I was a kid the only time we were in the house was to eat and sleep.
