Hang from a fence metal top rail from homedepot? Am I going to die?

It is really hot out 92 degrees.

And I have 2 fence top rails

    To make it 20 feet.
If I suspend these in my front yard from the rafters will the 2 metal top rails be able to support me? Or will they collapse? Any one tried it already?

I don't want to fall in the middle of the night.

    I weigh 200 pounds.
    And have a henessy hammock.
And would be hanging at the 30 degrees. Not super tight.
Using 2-3 loops of paracord to support the fence rail.

There is 8 foot chain link around the airport I work at and there gets to be a very large snow drift at one end of the airport. They have to replace the top poles on the chain link every spring because the weight of the snow buckles them. Granted this is from snow weight in the middle of the pole and you are probably going to hang close to the ends near the support. Good luck and you may want to do a test run with the neighbors kid.

I don't know if I am heavier then snow...

Give it a shot worst case scenario you end up going into the house after it buckles and you have a story for us.

I would run a few sheet metal screws through the swedged end so if they do start to droop and separate, the screws may slow down the fall and the poles from separating as fast vs not having them screwed to each other. Just keep your phone in with you, so if you fall too hard u can call the paramedics. - That's what my girlfriend tells me when I use my home made stands.

But I don't want to be THE STORY and be on the ground.

I would much rather it be a bear story.
Or I saved some one story.
    Or I won $1,000,000 story.

Not the one you all laughed at me story...

It will work if you attach the hammock to the pole at the same points the attachment of the pole to rafters is located as is done with the turtlelady and turtledog stands. If you don't match up the hanging points, the pole is likely to bow significantly and/or collapse.

Actually, the worst case scenario may be something like he is pinned to the ground by the buckling poles receiving internal injuries......

HA! You don't know her too well.

Like gmcttr said, if you attach your suspension close to the point where the pole is suspended from, you should be ok.
