    Blackbird Suspension

I'm having a little trouble getting my original BB hang really dialed in. I have an adjustable ridgeline set at about 90" with woopie sling suspension. I'm decently comfortable but still feel like I could probably get it a bit better but I'm not sure what to adjust to dial it in a bit more. When I lie down the ridgeline seems really tight compared to what I've read about others. I can barely move it with my fingers. How do I adjust the suspension so it is a bit looser? The other thing I'm wondering about is how much of the length of my suspension should be woopie sling and how much should be the webbing? Right now I usually set it up with only a couple feet of webbing and do the rest of the adjusting with my woopie slings. Would increasing the webbing length help out at all with the ridgeline tension and a flatter lay? I usually try to pick trees around 20 feet apart.

Sounds like you're hanging it too tight. Also 20 feet is pretty far so to get to the desired angle of about 30 degrees you'll have to hang your tree straps high.

You might want to email or call Brandon at Warbonnet if no on else chips in to your question.
Here is the setup for my BB: I usually try to setup on trees about 18 to 20 feet; Tree huggers generally come out about 1 to 2 feet from tree (depends on tree size); biner on huggers to whoopies with up to 6 foot of adjustment attached to BB; stock BB ridge line; angle of hang at as close to 30 degrees as I can get. What I have found is that I need to have the hammock just below a comfortable sitting level to get the ridge line to flex as Brandon shows in his video. When fully stretched out, I am about a foot off the ground with my butt. This is much lower than I suspected I should be in the beginning.
Try extending the whoopies to get more sag in the hammock and/or raise the tree huggers as high as you can get them.

Try the hammock hang calculator. Set the angle for 30°.
Then raise the footend treestrap anywhere from 4" to 15" higher up the tree. Adjust from there as needed.

I'm no math genius, but if the angle is correct your ridgeline will be properly tensioned.
    So 1. Make angle correct
    2. Angle plus webbing/ whoopie adjustment determine height on tree.
With a fixed ridgeline and the correct angle the tree distance and the height of the hammock off the ground are the only two variables left.
    Am I right?
