Best hardware to replace a prusik?

I dislike using a prusik knot in amsteal and really the same goes for the Klemheist knot.
I find they either slip (slowly) or if I add additional wraps, they are almost impossible to slide them where I want them.
I'm trying to figure out what hardware will simplify what I want to be able to do with my tarp.

I have full length ridge line (Lash-It) with a Dutch Hook on one end and a Tarp Wasp on the other end.
I want to be able to secure the ridge line in place and then slide the tarp back and forth along the ridge line till I have it where I want it and lock it in place.

Tarp Keys, Tarp Crosses, Stingers, Wasps and Flyz are all designed to help with attaching to the tree. Really they are all just different versions of a Figure 9. I'm not aware of a way to use any of them that will do what I want.
I do have some Loop Aliens I haven't done a whole lot with but in order to use them, the ridge line would need to be slack enough I could pull a bite through one of the holes on the the LA.

I suppose what I need is almost a triglide or some mini descender rings.
Alternately I'd be happy with a clever splice like perhaps a short section of amsteel on each end of the tarp which the ridge line runs through so its almost like a mini-UCR.

I have a few thoughts on what might work, but before I reinvent the wheel, I wanted to double check and make sure I'm not overlooking an obvious method or product.

    Ideas?

Nadda. My ridge line does not tie to the tarp like a continuous ridge line. Never liked those much.

The Tato connector sounds like what I want. (ANOTHER order to Dutch?!?) I saw them listed and for some reason thought they were the grip clips. .

Looks like Derek has a review on his site.

Oh yea, this is 100% exactly what I was looking for.

This is my favorite method by far. Not a huge fan of prussiks on CRLs, because then you can only get as tight as you can pull the prussik.

rychipman is right - with a prussic you can only get as tight as you can pull it. I use a UCR. You still can only get as tight as you can pull but the guy lines also help in a taut setup. The UCR is small, tidy, secure, and easy to re-position.
