Great report. Definitely a banded water snake you saw although they can be tough to distinguish from a copper head. The eyes tell the most to me. I just try to avoid them all and hope they avoid me

Thanks for confirming the snake. I'll have to look at some pics to see the differences in the eyes. And I'm with you on avoiding all snakes! I just happened to have a +10' pole to video this one with.I just try to avoid them all and hope they avoid me
Yea and I don't take it for granted. I try to cherish all these times.
