Does anyone use skins for their tarp that are then put into a compression or stuff sack for packing?

I made a set of DIY no-seeum snake skins and found that packing the tarp was more difficult and took more space. I made a no-seeum double-sided stuff sack and like it much better. Here's a good reference:

I am now planning to also carry half a dozen ouchless elastic hair bands to slide onto the tarp as I deploy it and take down in windy weather. Same thing for the hammock, which I also store in a double-sided stuff sack.

for me, skins for my tarp, they keep my continuous ridge line from tangling and i can, more easily, attach my tarp to the outside of my pack when it's in skins.
my hammock, quilts, net, pillow, night light etc... are in lazy slug tubes.
What are slug tubes?
good catch shef.
My hammock is in snakeskins. I find it MORE convenient to pack that way. It stuffs nicely into all of the holes/edges and firms up my frameless pack. And the covering keeps it clean as I drag it around looking for the perfect tree.
My tarp is currently in a double ended stuffsack, but I will be making a set of snake skins very soon. The primary reson is to keep it from flapping in the wind and to stop my guylines tangling. It will also be great for quick deployment when the weather turns. My hammock just gets stuffed into my pack, still attached to my uq for ease of set up and to fill out all the corners of my pack. I was using a bishop bag for my hammock and that is still how it is stored when I'm not camping but I've found it to be less of a hassle to just chuck it in my pack when I'm out.
