It's been the second weekend in November for the last 5 years I believe.

I haven't been on here in a bit so am behind in reading posts. Yes, you are correct.

I'd love to bring her. If I can get her sleeping in a hammock by then, I will. If not, however, I don't want to lug a tent to a hang when I could/should be in my hammock!

The November hang is a family friendly event so get that hammock training going this summer so you can bring her.

I am going to try to make this one and will try to get the wife to come along as well. We have been hammock camping for several years now but this would be our first "hang" with this group. Looking forward to meeting a bunch of other "like-minded" hangers.

Lago Vista, you're not far from me in Round Rock. My wife and I are gonna try to get out this summer (I Know, hot as can be, gonna try to go as early as possible) and maybe get a group of people in the Austin area out.

I took the 3 y/o and a friend out to Big Bend this weekend - and she napped in her hammock! Yay! We have a few more camping trips planned. I'll be bringing the tent on those but also the hammocks. She's not the kind of kid that takes direct suggestion well - I have to make her think it was her idea otherwise for major switches like that - and I hopefully can get her to make up her mind in time for me to scrounge up or make an underquilt for her.

It is an offense for any person to: (A) bring into,possess, orpermitto roam within a state park a pet, unless the petis securedbya leash not exceeding six feet in length,confined in a vehicle, or confined in a suitable cage; (B) bring intoorpossesswithina state park an unattended pet; (C) fail to immediately collect and properly dispose of fecal material deposited by a pet for which a person is responsible. Forpurposes of this paragraph, “properly dispose” means to deposit fecal material in an appropriate solid waste collection container; (D) bring a petintoan area wherepets are prohibited; (E) permit a pet (except a trained assistance animal accompanying a person with a disability) to enter into or remain in any building or enclosure designated for public use including,but not limited to,a restaurant,snack bar, cabin, lodge room, restroom,parkstore, shelter, refectory building, amphitheater,administration building,orrailroad coach; (F) permit a pet in the waterofa designated swimming area or to permit a pet animal (except a trained assistance animal accompanying a person with a disability) within the land or beach area adjacent to the water of a designated swimming area;or (G) possess a noisy, vicious,or dangerous pet, or a pet which creates a disturbance to or hazard within a state park;
