I'm looking to sell my prototype single layer Bonefire Hammock from FireInMyBones. I really like this hammock, but unfortunately I need the money more than I need the hammock at the moment. Here is the link to the original for sale thread: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...mock-Prototype
Also, here are some select quotes from FireInMyBones from the above thread with more information:
For Sale is my first and only single layer Bonefire Hammock. It includes integrated DWR 850 fill down insulation rated to 40F, zippered bugnet (3/4 zip along right side) and continuous loop suspension. Hammock length is 9.5'x4.5'.
The hammock body is gray 1.6oz, the inner liner of the UQ is black Argon, the UQ's outer layer is blue M50, the bugnet is asymmetrically cut and is made from .7oz nanoseeum.
Weight is ~1.3 lbs.
Weight limit for this prototype is 120 lbs.
It holds me at 160# just fine, but I'm concerned about long term durability with anyone much over 120# due to the strength of the SL.
I haven't been that weight since middle school. It holds me at 160#, but durability of the seams might prove problematic after several years at 160#. I'd rather this be someone's hammock for the next 5-10 years.
A person at 6' has fit just fine in this hammock with a reduced leg RL (setting up the head end almost a foot lower than the foot end.
I also forgot to mention that this hammock comes with a side pocket and is designed to have someone sleep left to right getting in and out on the right.
It holds me fine. The weight limit on all of my other models is 250 lbs. This hammock will work fine for someone for many years, but 120 lbs is a conservative estimate for safety.
-----------------------------------------------
A lot of the quotes above were related to questions regarding his "weight limit." It also held me just fine at 165 lbs, and I did not feel there was a risk of failure at all. I've got about a dozen nights in this hammock since December when I bought it. If there are any additional questions, etc. please let me know. I'll be posting a couple pics in another post, but there are also some in post #18 in the above link.
I'm asking $210 including CONUS shipping and Paypal fees. Does not include suspension (other than included continuous loops) or stuff sack (I put it in a compactor bag in the bottom of my pack), but I will include a mesh storage bag.
