    Too bad you couldn't use the trees, but that's sweet looking setup! Love it when the scouts get into hammocking. That looks like Dehoja/Derek Hansen's design. How did it work out for you?

    Great to hear. I've always wanted to try it out. I may have to give it a go...

    If you haven't read The Ultimate Hang by Derek, check it out. Great book - short, informative and great illustrations.

    Looks like you had a good time.....I do some BSA campouts and I have been "hanging" with the Boy Scouts for the last few years.....even on the Shooting Sports campout.....

    i just had my camporee! scoutmaster said i couldn't hang, but i found a spot (and used the exuse that the scout that had agreed to bring a tent for both me and him didn't show up, so i had nowhere else to go) it wasn't a very good spot, 2 feet away from a steam, and down a 10' slope. they said i wouldn't stay dry.... i was the only dry one!
    camporee is awesome!
