Multicam fabric suitable for tarp making

I posted this in the DIY Fabric section but got no response, which is unusual for this forum.

I have searched the net and this forum and did not see what I was looking for. I want to make my on tarp from multicam fabric but can't seem to find it. I would love to find it in at least 66 wide but its not a deal breaker if I don't. This forum is a brain-trust of info, I really would appreciate if you can steer me in the right direction.
    Thanks, David

I can't find anything light enough either.
www.multicamfabric.com Maybe if we bug them enough they will make some, but I'm sure it would be expensive.

Thanks for the link. For me, I am not as concerned about weight to a degree. After looking at their fabric I realized I don't know enough about fabric to choose the proper one for tarp use.

With a quick look, I find nothing on the multicamfaric site that would be suitable for a tarp.

    Epsilon comes closest:

One can think of it as DWR on steriods. In this case, the water repellent finish is Nanosphere from Schoeller Technologies:

    http://www.innovationintextiles.com/...t-in-the-rain/

Schoeller claims therefore, that choosing NanoSphere today is the way to make a positive impact on the future. The company says that new tests prove that NanoSphere enjoys extraordinary resilience. Among many other rigorous evaluations, NanoSphere was tested in accordance with the AATCC test method 79. After 30,000 abrasion cycles, the water and oil repelling function of NanoSphere proved to be at the top level while a comparable, conventional finish dropped practically to zero after exposure to 5,000 cycles. A further feature of NanoSphere’s longevity is highlighted by the Bundesmann rain test. After ten minutes of constant exposure to rain with a simulated 100 litres of water on a 1m2 fabric sample, NanoSphere still displays a value of 4 (maximum = 6), while a conventional product achieved only a value of 1, Schoeller claims.
Bushcraft USA makes a couple of tarps from the material:

At the 6 minute mark he's inside the tarp during a rainstorm---on the third day in a row of rain. It does look like the BCUSA Tarp could benefit from seam sealing, and the tie outs could be stronger.

Epsilon is expensive and won't last as long as silnylon. Since Nanosphere is a coating one can expect it to wear off over time (but it lasts a lot longer than any other DWR). All my quilts are made with an outer shell of Epsilon as its extremely durable, breathable, and water repellent. I'm giving serious thought to making a tarp out of this material.

Epsilon is not water proof, we work with it for quilt shells. The only MultiCam available for tarps is BETA, 70d PU coated.

Not a problem. I've been working with and researching Epsilon for a couple years now. I still hesitate to use it as a tarp as its basically a DWR not a waterproof fabric. Seeing others using it successfully pushes me in that direction, but as I'd be using it in a sub-tropical environment (Houston, TX) where we get a thunderstorm every afternoon around 1500, it would be a rather expensive mistake if it doesn't hold up to heavy downpours of short duration.
