Thanks again for all of the feedback! I will be living in Grant Village which is just a few miles north of Heart Lake so I should have no problem getting to that. Right now I am in Sioux Falls, SD but will be signing in for work on Friday. Outandback, don't worry, my phone takes good pictures, and I also so brought a video camera so I can hopefully do some trip reports

Taking the wife and kids there this July for some hiking and hanging.

I've been a few times but never did much hiking. Looking forward to getting off the roads this time.

Turns out I get to drive my son out next week. I'll be driving thru the park next Wednesday. The day before he has to check in. I will have my hammock so that I can say that I hung there. Wish I had more time to spend there. I am so envious of you and my son for getting to be there all summer.

Glad you'll be able to make it! My dad rode out with me, but I had to drop him off at the Bozeman, MT airport so he wasn't able to get to go through the park. Enjoy the road trip!

Just flew back after 4day road trip. Spent yesterday getting a quick look at the Park. I'll just say one day is not nearly enough. But we dod see 80+ bison (my sons favorite), a grizzly bear, a grey worf hunting in the snow and numerous elk. Got to set the hammock up for a bit.

We were overlooking a small pond where apparently a mother grizzly and cub were seen twice the day before.

    Here is my son JakeRulez.

You'll be able to find him up in Mammouth.

Funny story. When he went to training last month at Estes Park. He ran into some other casual hammockers. As the hiked they would see two trees in a cool spot snd say "I'd hammock that!"
Cool concept for a hammock Tshirt.

I love that place! Make sure to take a fly rod. Best fishing of my life was in Yellowstone. Only issues I ever had were with moose, not big predators. I did have a heard of elk jump into the same pool I was fishing to get away from the black flies and those flying green heads with teeth spawns of satan flies! Headnet and spray my friend.
