Pole mod question

I'm planning on doing an external pole mod and I'm a little stuck on some details. I have this set of poles that I plan to modify. I would like to use a 145° arch at the ridge line, but I'm not quite sure about the insert situation. Can I use the inserts that are already in my poles to go into the arch or do I have to get new inserts that attach to the arch and go into the poles? The pictures all have the inserts in the arch, but the fine print says not included.

I'm guessing you are referring to this - 1" to top of arch (not incl attached inserts). The arches from Quest Outfitters have the connecting inserts permanently attached. The add copy is pointing out that the 1" measurement is made without including the inserts (only measuring the black portion of the arch).
