May 11 - This week's Hammocks

Happy Mother's Day everyone. Unfortunately MamaSmurf worked all day helping get this week's hammocks out. I really need to take her out and treat her to a dinner & movie one of these days.

These last 3 photos are of a No-Zip Overcover prototype I'm sending out to the NJ fellas to check out at the Round Valley Paddle coming up May 17th.

That brown polyester looks awesome!

Tell us more about the no zip overcover! Could the bug net and OC be removable like on T-bird, but net have full zipper with multiple pulls since the OC is zipper-less?

I like the solid feel I get in the 1.8oz Polyester taffeta for my 265lbs.

Still very early and this one is just the first prototype. It's main purpose is for those folks who want to use it in combination with the netting. With this design, you have the ability to just cover the left or right side or just the head or foot end by using different combinations of the 6 attachment points. There's still some tweaking to do though.

That's possibly the funnest part. Seeing how folks change different things to make theirs unique.

Take Order #917 for instance headed out for Hong Kong tomorrow morning.

This one needed to be 100% insect proof for trips in that part of the World at the expense of having removable netting. There's double zippers sliders on both sides of the hammock on basically a ThunderBird style body.
