    DIY bugnet - oops.

Had a chance to work with my mom and her sewing machine - so we put together a bugnet!

The only problem - which I realized after setting it up - is that I got my numbers mixed up and it ended up 93" long instead of 103"! Oops!
Next time I stop by we're going to add the missing 10" back into the center - but it is still usable, and looks pretty good!

Looks like maybe that extra 10" got added to the bottom instead?
    What material? No-see-um?
It looks really clean; if you know someone with a shorter hammock, maybe just have them comp you for the materials and start from scratch on the new one.

Ha! Nah, that's just the right size when it's cinched up and I'm in the hammock

It is no see-um netting from Dutchware, cheap and lightweight.

Adding the missing bit in should be easy - my mom is a sewing master, and I'll be helping my dad with his car this weekend so it should be good to go after that

looks good I'm sure it will finish up nicely once you add a bit of material, "measure twice and cut once" always a good saying to remember and embrace.

    Thanks!
Yeah... We actually thought we added "extra length" when we cut it because we took the "200 inch" mark and cut a bit longer to be along a fold line. Oh well!
    It will be more unique

Bug net has been extended and is now perfect

I overthought what needed to be done to correct my original oops, and made it more work than needed ... but that's par for the course for me. LOL!

I could have just cut off the end and added the missing 10" plus the length to make up what I cut off instead of making a cut, inserting 10" of netting and having to sew 2 seams. Oh well, project is done - now I need to go sleep outside and test it out!
