Will this work take some amsteel run it through the end of my eno hammock and then make a contentious loop out of it. Instead of making it first and then attaching it to the eno

That is the way my SLD Trail Lair is.
It will work but most like the suspense components removable so that should you decide to wash your hammock you can just toss it in with your regular laundry....being in a state that has warm humid weather....I would want to be able to wash my hammock every so often and removing the suspension is better for it than going through the wash. Better to larkshead - that halves the length of the continuous loop. Your method would increase the overall length of your hammock and the amount that needs to be covered by a tarp.

It would work but I also agree with what's been said. The loop will be easier to make, the hammock will be easier to wash when it comes time, and when you find yourself wanting to play around with different setups, the option to remove the loop and do something else will be nice.
Yep! Agree with all thee above. Larkshead is easy to remove and/or change out with another suspension system and as a plus, it shortens the overall length of your hammock...meaning that your trees can be closer together.

Yes it will work fine. Personal preferences aside it will probably be the same working length or shorter than the original since they are longer ropes on the eno to start with. You don't have to remove the rope to wash. Just use some gentle detergent like woolite and toss into the washer. The woolite will get the yuck out and be safe on the rope. Use it for climbing gear all the time. I like the channel way of suspending it.
