Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.

Here is some good info that TwoTrees shared with us when we first started thinking about doing this paddle.
"On planning the River bash, it is around 50 miles from the VA line down to the Hwy 25 Bridge that marks the headwaters of Norris Lake. I figure on 3-3.5 miles per hour on straight paddle with river boat. The water ranges from shoals, shoals with ledges, current, and slack water. The ledges are shredders. They will catch a glass boat like super glue. I prefer SOT but have used SINKs with larger cockpits. You have to bail often depending on water levels."
Ok, just spotted this, and since I survived the shock of seeing Poof start a thread I am listing myself as a possibility. No promises with my insane schedule and all, but I am gonna try to do this. Cross your fingers everyone.

A Poof trip!!! I want to go.
I will watch this thread with great interest. I have a couple of outings coming up, and I am going to see if the slight changes I have made help my legs. If I get that worked out I will try to make it.
