Have you tried simply stringing a ridgeline btwn the top ends of your stand with a tarp over it? That may not give you enough coverage if it's raining and windy given how close the ends of your hammock are to the stand. On the other hand, the low cost of some cordage and a WM tarp would surely make it worth trying.

Another option would be to put a ridge pole on top of the ends so it extends past the ends and drape a tarp over that.

My first post gives you their length and height information. That is directly from Boone Dox. As for weight you could always email them, they also have a Facebook page with some information as well. They aren't a big conglomerate they are a small builder that designs only a couple of items.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas for weather proofing this setup.
I say get the poles and stretch the tarp separate. what's gonna happen to you in the hammock when that frame attached tarp reaches up and catches a good gust of wind? Rodeo, baby! YEEEHAAA!

I have a stand not this one and it can get wide enough to hang a superfly, however it's not really practice due to flexing of said stand when lying into the hammock. I'd say you're better of with an alternate hang source for the tarp unless you're using a DYI solid built stand that won't flex inward. I tried preloading with the CRL and still no joy

I don't think so because you would have the tarp staked into the ground. If you didn't do that, there wouldn't be a whole lot of room under the tarp, I would think.
