    Dynaglide problems

Hello fellas, I'm kinda new to the art of tweaking hammock suspension. Here's my problem. I'm using Dynaglide for suspension and pursik knots on my suspension. The pursik knot slips and also is difficult to move after being subjected to my weight in the hammock. Is there another material I can use for the pursik knot that would not slip or be difficult to move?
I really like the Dynaglide and want to keep it on my supension.

    Any ideas?

If you aren't using UCR's you may want to search for Falkniven's tutorial.

Being a gram weenie myself, I agree with your desire to stick with Dynaglide. However, a slipping suspension is a deal killer. But there's no need to jetisen the Dynaglide. It's the prussik knot that should go. As mentioned above, UCR or whoopie sling configuration of the Dynaglide suspension will solve the problem. Yes, it will take more line, but at the unit weight of Dynaglide, it's a small price to pay for a good night's sleep.

I made UCR's with Dynaglide but eventually switched to whoopies for their foolproof qualities (I figured that was a good personal fit for me)

Not a gram weenie but I like the idea of a lightweight suspension. I don't know how you're set up but a prussic knot, on a hammock suspension, seems like a bad idea. I've never been a big fan of UCR's, although I am warming up to them and Dynaglide seem like the perfect material to use.

To broaden the question a bit: What knots work best with Dynaglide? The answer is that splicing works best with Dynaglide. Knots derate the rope too much, and Dynaglide is slippery.

haning from a prusik knot with dynaglide will be difficult. The only way to do it with ease is to use a thick diameter rope. Ucr's kind of do the same thing, think chinese finger trap...

I really appreciate the suggestions and advise you fellas shared with me yesterday. Experience is a great teacher. I have tried whoopie slings on tarps and suspension under the tarp, but found it was difficult to give slack
when it was really tight, but Dutch solved that problem. The Hammock suspension doesn't have that problem when your not in the hammock.
    Thanks

it does, the weight of the hammock and quilts is enough to make whopies a royal painn to loosen, that's why many stick with ucr's, you can undo it with a pinky finger.
