Looking forward to the pictures! Sorry I missed this one. I've got a weekend free come Saturday, the 28th. Two things, though: neither a paddler nor a cyclist, and I'm back to the ground after having to sell the hammock off in hard times. Wouldn't mind joining y'all, though, as it's about the closest possible place for backpacking around home.

Im sure there will be more trips eric, i ordered a cuben fiber tarp should be here in a few weeks, and i will have to go out again.
maybe next trip , go all the way from channahon to gebhard woods state park, then back to the site, would be about 24 miles loaded, with a 3 mile ride out the next day, anyone have any thoughts?

im not sure if the entire trail is open, let me do some research
They are saying parts of the trail are closed between utica and ottawa, im for leaving on a friday night, camping at the old site friday night, then maybe ride to morris, maybe have lunch there or in gebhart woods and see if we come arcoss any campsites and play it by ear. That way if any other member wants to join us they can meet us on the trail saturday. Lets see if anyone else has any input?
Friday after work july 11th? ride Friday to camp, then ride the trail on saturday and play it by ear?
