The more I read about this the more tempting it sounds. I've been packing quilts into their provided stuff sacks for a while, as the momey I've spent on them is quite a bit for me.
I try to convince myself there's added protection in packing them separately.
As OP asked I'm also just curious if anyone has had problems from the bundled pack approach? This sounds so much easier/quicker...
    Thanks

It's probably in the donating member part of the forum - a few sections you only see when you are a donating member.

It really is.. and so far so good - been using it for a couple of years I think. And I haven't heard anyone else having a problem.

I've been using this method since going with the Swag and Dilly. Lay the TQ on the swag. Pile the hammock/UQ/bugnet unit on the TQ. Lay deflated pillow, clothes bag and hygiene bag on top of everything and rollup.

    The concept is clear.
    To a point.

To further clarify, please, list your play by play on how you deploy your setup during heavy rain.

I think the tarp is kept separate.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

The tarp is separate. I keep it like that as I don't want to pack up a potentially wet tarp inside a drysack with my down quilts. It usually sits in snake skins bundled up somewhere on the outside of the pack.

So, in rain the tarp snake goes up first, the tarp is deployed, and then the tree huggers are mounted in both ends and everything is set up as per usual practice. Actually I always set the tarp snake up ready for deployment even in fair weather, to keep the routine the same, because no matter how great the weather is and how great the forecast is, in my neck of the woods things can change, and quickly.. Only difference in good weather is that I don't deploy it right away.
