Donna, that is the correct way to do things.

If you are closing the shop for a few days then left folks know on your webpage, by an answering machine or out of office reply by email. It isn't that hard to do.

    Amen Syb.

There are concessions that need to be made to the cottage vendors. If you are not willing to make those concessions...express your displeasure with your dollars. Buy a hennessy or ENO from REI and get great customer service and walk out with your hammock that day! I would bet that a couple of the cottage folks have had offers to either buy their businesses outright, or make retail distribution agreements that they opted not to take. These guys and gals are awesome at making gear. If quick response to questions is their only fault, I will wait and sit in the dark for a while knowing that an amazing product is going to be delivered at some point. I have an order in with Warbonnet that has been in since May 1st. I havent emailed or called since I dont need the gear anytime soon and I trust that they will get it here and it will be top-notch. Sure I could email and ask for a status or tell him that I may be planning a trip soon and would like the gear, but that may just mean that someone else that NEEDS their gear sooner may get delayed. I dont want to do that to anyone. Check out the threads on Superflys and Blackbirds and RidgeRunners right now. He has to be setting sales records month after month and the delivery windows are shorter than ever.

You ever watch the Batman movies where they shine the Bat light into the night sky?....It's kinda like that.. Signal, and he will come..
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..

Glad to hear I'm not the only one having problems. I haven't received a response in the last 3 attempts over a two week period.
