    Ridgerunner with TurtleDog stand

Has anyone used a TurtleDog stand with a Ridgerunner?

If so how far apart do you have the stands?

    Thanks.

Yes and it takes a 13.5' plus ridgepole. I use a 16' ridgepole.

Awesome. Thanks. Any chance you have some pictures with it up ?

Any tips on the construction of it specific to the RR?

All turtlelady stands but the ridgepole is the same.

The first one needs the suspension tightened...

I think the minimum size ridgepole is right around 15ft using the straps that come with it cinched all the way down. Any shorter than that and I don't think you can get the 25-30* angle you need.

You might be able to use a slightly shorter ridgepole if you use an "S" hook on the end of the pole and hook it directly to the buckle.

I use two 8in webbing loops prusicked onto the end of the ridgepole. They are wrapped around as many times as possible so the loop I hook the hammock into is as small as it can be.

One thing I discovered is that cutting the legs of the TD Stand to 6ft is probably too short. It works but just barely. My UQ is probably about 4in off the ground when I'm laying in the hammock. 7ft legs would have worked a lot better.

+1 to others. I have a turtledog stand - exact same as in this thread:

Ridgerunner works great on it with four middle poles. Ends of suspension probably 15-15.5 feet apart.

Hello, can you tell me how long the line was retaining the leg spread on the first stand with cordage holding the tripod together?

Mine fits in an ENO Solopod after shortening the dogbones a little. Should fit in your turtle dog without having to go too long on the ridge line.
