    Help a newbie get warm!!!

I am looking for opinions and suggestions on what is the best 0 degree (or lower) underquilt for an eno dn. I am boggled by the amount of info and diff companies out there, was thinking about the hammock gear uq, but would love some input before I may the investment, and need to make it soon, the snow is melting....Thanks all, great to be part of this forum and hope to find some new friends to hang with.

What you'll hear is that just about any of the cottage manufacturers here on HF will do you fine: Underground Quilts, Jacks-r-Better, Warbonnet. You could go Ungerground Quilts, not look back, and you will be pleased...

I recently acquired a Greylock 4 (jacks-r-better, O°) from the For Sale subforum here and it's lovely. I haven't been out with it but the amount of loft is baffling.

Have you seen Shug's Underquilt videos?

All I can do is echo what AaronMB said. Any of the cottage vendors on this forum will do right by you. You might want to look through each of the vendor's wares then contact them if you have specific questions. They are all really good about answering questions. Before I got my first JacksRBetter quilt I must have spoken to them at least 6 times with questions.

Also, check out each of the vendor forums for threads specific to their gear. Thee you can see questions, concerns, and (more likely) rave reviews It will also give you a chance to ask the vendors questions as they generally frequent their own forums.

Also if you might be of a non standard size, or if you think you've other special needs/considerations. With the cottage vendors you're buying a product that often can be adjusted to your wishes.
This might sound scary if you're new to hammocking. But I'm very happy I asked for a special size of UQ and TQ after only 2 weeks of testing, now I've got the stuff I want and will be happy with for years to come.

I have an ENO DN and use an UGQ 20* 3/4 Zeppelin. Works perfectly for me and i can't say enough good things about the customer service at UGQ.
Of course this is the only cottage company i have experience with so i can't honestly evaluate the others. I can say with certainty that you will not be disappointed if you go UGQ.

Also you may want to take a look at the "Knotty Mod" somewhere her in the forums. Don't have a link but I'm sure someone will provide it if you ask. Again I can't speak from experience, but I do plan on doing my DN this weekend.

    Enjoy your hammock!

+1 to others. Can't really go wrong.

Having said that, I frequent HammockGear. Their Incubator (at all temperature levels) has the same quality and service associated with the other vendors. For me, the deciding factors to go with HammockGear were:
    - Argon material (standard option)
    - Water resistant down (standard options)
    - Their cut forms along the body for me just a bit better than any other uq
