    Second Argon tarp complete

Well, except seam sealing the ridge line. Decided to make a little larger tarp for my Blackbird XLC, went 12'x9', roughly. Seems to pitch nice and tight. Using some of Dutch's wasps on the ridge lines. Weight is 13.9 ounces in the sack with lines, minus seam seal. Looking forward to testing this coming weekend. Did something different on the corner tie outs, we will see how it holds. Seems ok on the initial setup. Time will tell.

Beautiful tarp Ashley! And I would't worry about those tie-outs. It looks like you have them reinforced well.

I might consider that. Want to make sure my work can hold up to a good wind and rain event first though.

Beautiful work! Tie outs are very strong looking. They are stronger than a Hennessy! That's for sure! I blew both of my hexes ends out with 20mph gusts one time. They tacked the grosgrain very minimally with the round ring they use.

You could add a triangle of fabric like most but I like your use of the grosgrain. Looks very tough!

Have you thought about adding corner pockets to stow the guy lines? like: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ie-out-pouches

or something considerably more simple... I just used a single layer of bug net at the corners of one of mine. seemed to work fine.

Looks great! I have some of the same stuff waiting to be made into a 4 season tarp. I'm planning on using a similar idea for my tie outs as well.
