I have been working on a new net, which is a Fronkey style net with cinched ends so that the hammock including underquilt and top quilt will pass through the larger opening at the head end thus making it easier to move the net to the foot end when I don't want or need the net over me (nothing new there). The other thing I did was make the ridgeline of the net adjustable to take up any slack if the trees are too close together, or if I use it on a smaller hammock or if I used a hammock without a structural ridgeline. It just gives it a bit more versatility rather than being one size fits all. It has about 12 inches of variation in the length as is, so could be used for a 10ft and 11ft hammock. It has probably been done before but I haven't seen it mentioned - now there might be a good reason for that .
It's a work in progress.
