Newbie From Ontario

Hello everyone. I've had a Hennessy Expedition for over ten years in my survival gear collection but for various reasons never used it (for shame, for shame). Anyway was determined to dig it out this year and perhaps do some hiking or ATV exploring. The winter was long and cold this year

so I had lots of chance to start researching and fine tuning my gear bag.

I stumbled on this forum in my wanderings (hooray!!

) so here I am.

I have now perfected my preliminary set-up. Photos to follow from a recent afternoon stealth snooze in Durham Forest as well as this past Victoria Day week-end near Bon Echo.

Glad to be here. Especially hope to make contact with any other members in Ontario .......

Arrrr, welcome to the forums...

We've got a pretty active hanging group here in Southern Ontario under the guise of the EGL (Eastern Great Lakes) with at least 3-4 group (canoe/car camping/snowshoeing) hangs per year. We've actually got a hang coming up on May 29 up in Algonquin.

A couple of years back, we set up a notification thread anyone can subscribe to and use automatic email alert option to find out about upcoming events. Everyone's welcome.

Thanks Chard. Look forward to meeting up with other folks one day soon. Sorry but I'm not available for the May 29th get together. Perhaps later in the summer. Do you know if there are any ATVers in the crowd. I have a trailer down near Bon Echo Park and I'm thinking of getting into some ATV exploration camping down that way.

Welcome from London, ON (formerly from Pickering/Ajax/Whitby). Start a thread asking if there are any members near you who ATV. You should get some replies. Hope to see you at an EGL hang sometime.

Im from the Mississauga/Toronto area, but I recently moved to New Jersey. I still go back up there pretty often so maybe one day my husband and I can join in for a group hang if the timing is right. Thanks!!
