I hadn't noticed that folks had picked back up on this trip report. It really was the highlight of my summer. One day, I'll do a loop, starting at Grayson Highlands and hiking the AT south to the Virginia Creeper Trail into Damascus. After an overnight stop and resupply, I would take the IMT north back to my vehicle. Maybe I'll be able to get my wife to hike with me.
