Spent 3 nights at the in-laws' place for Turkey Day. Being that the family homestead is the gathering place for allot of family, the house gets VERY crowded. To do my part in helping alleviate the overcrowding, I was happy to sleep out in the hammock
I also finally got to try out the 2/3 winter-weight underquilt that Stormcrow made.
Weather was ~30° windy with gusts up to 30MPH, drizzle and snow mix on the first night. Night 2 was clear and cold, with milder wind, temps dropped down to near 22°. Night 3 was clear and not quite as cold, dropped down to ~26°.
The underquilt worked great, and I actually overheated a bit on the third night. That's a Black Diamond Orbit lantern in the 4th and 5th pics for perspective on how thick this beast is...
Last pic is my daughter lounging in the hammock. She loves it. Next season I'm going to be looking for a hammock for her and we'll abandon the tent for good!
