I'm caught in the middle between the two of these, as I'm considering a new hammock with an integrated bug net.
If you've got one (or both) of these, I'd love to hear some opinions on one vs. the other.

I used to be a somebody, now I just camp.
I don't have a dangerbird but do have the roaming gnome. Switched from the standard blackbird but for some reason i cannot get rid of the calf ridge in the roaming gnome. It hasn't really bothered me all to much and its a great hammock. Anyways im sure im doing something wrong but i do like the it alot. cant speak on XLC.
Just let me know Gresh. I am more than happy to send you Jolly Greens if need be.
I have been test sleeping in a DIY Tablecloth Crinkled Taffeta 90x156 with Cat/cuts, WBBB XLC 1.7 DL, Clark NX-250 and have tried all 3 of them about 5-6 nights. All of them have their merits however I feel I sleep better in my XLC... Im 6', 285lbs...
New to hammock camping myself , but I got the Dream Thunderbird . Good hammock from what I can tell . I like the zippers on both sides and the choice of colors and fabric. This is what sold me. I was looking at the xlc . I am sure it is a great hammock and the dangerbird should be to.
I've never tried a WBBB, but my Roaming Gnome is the bee's knees. PaPa Smurf and Co. are very accommodating and easy to work with. Just buy one of each and sell the one you aren't as comfortable in on the forum. Doubt you could go wrong either way.
