Synthetic fabrics made from recycled materials

Does anyone know of any resellers listing rPET, rePET or other fabrics/webbing?
I've bought some dog leashes/collars made of the stuff, I saw this thread https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...-on-first-look), and I've seen t-shirts online, but I'd be interested in trying it out for some DIY.

The only thing I've seen is from the manufacturers in China selling wholesale, and I'm not sure I'm comfortable buying that way.

I was on their site earlier, but can't even find their contact info. I think everything is probably done through Facebook (I don't have an account, and would prefer to keep it that way) or the Kickstarter page (but the campaign has since ended--too bad, I definitely would have been in on that one).

It is my understanding that Malden Mills Polartec fleece is recycled PET:

I think they were one of the pioneer markets for used soda bottles. ;-)
    YMMV

That's cool. I have some Polartec laying around (probably destined for a summer quilt or bag liner), but I'm not sure if it was from before or after their switch to recycled.

I think they were always recycled. The switch is to the branded product.
Malden under Aaron Feuerstein was a cutting edge technology company. Since the fire and several new owners they do not seem to be as sensitive to many issues as they once were. I suspect the branded yarn product is a result of them spinning the recycled product manufacturing out of the old business.
    YMMV
