    The ultimate hammock...

A lot of these kickstarter projects seem like solutions in search of problems. Which got me thinking - what would be the ultimate hammock?

One tree required? No trees required? Ultra light? Low cost? Flat as a pancake lay? Modular net and insulation or integrated?

What killer features (within the bounds of reason - no antigrav allowed) would make you sell your best hammock to buy "The X hammock"?

I quite fancy a one tree, modular system with a flat lay and low cost insulation options (eg. a mat).

I figure the hammock and sock/tarp would have to be made from something like a ripstop, breathable cuben fiber. Double layer hammock for weight handling and pad insertion. With gear shelf underneath for shoes

Now, that I think about it, the HNO Airship isn't too far off. It just needs an integrated double-layer hammock, and for the whole rig to be made from camp breathable cuben fiber. Add a couple of pockets and a gear shelf.

Nah, cuben won't stretch. I tried Dutch's cuben at a MAHHA and it was uncomfortable. Lightweight? Sure. Comfy? Not even close.

Something with very little fiddle factor and not a wallet buster. We mostly have that now, but I'd say base insulation built in that gets me down to low 50s, which from there I can supplement. FireInMyBones has something like that, but its a wallet buster. A pocket to put my knee pillow in for when I don't need it, and a beer can holder. Wait a minute, I already have that courtesy of Jared!
