Howdy from the West Texas Town of El Paso

Hey Everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks to everyone for what appears to me to be one of the finest communities on the Internet. I can't believe how helpful everyone is and the incredible wealth of knowledge on the various forums.

Personally I am new to sleeping in Hammocks. I purchased HH Explorer Classic Asym for a week long Motorcycling trip this past April. I'm getting a bit older and find that sleeping on the ground is not conducive to maintaining a positive attitude on these types of adventures. While there were some challenges I learned to overcome, I still felt it was better then the best night I ever spent in a tent. I discovered the HF site right after I came back and have learned a ton from all the good people here. There aren't many trees out here in the desert but I plan to spend some time in the mountains of southern New Mexico. I'd like to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to join me in one of the most unique parts of the country.

Thanks in advance for your patience with my many questions...

    FJRpilot..

Thanks everyone... I did marry a Mexican girl 😃. What's funny is "Rosie's Cantina" is an actual place that Mr Robbins once visited. I've been there to 😈

Welcome from Texas! I was almost in El Paso this last weekend - we went to Big Bend. Took the scenic route along the river to come home!

BB is a really great place, it's a little hot this time of year. Heck is was 109 in El Paso today ( no insulation required ) 😳. Thanks for the shout,
