Down socks, Down booties.

Hi guys.

After a few months of research I just can't find any pattern on how to make down socks. I have attempted to make a pattern myself with tin foil and tape, but just can't figure out a patter that'll work. If anyone here knows of a pattern please share on this thread, or PM me. Thanks guys.

Forgot who it was, but some genius on here simply traced his hiking socks, adding about 1-1/2" all around. Got to love it!

I guess you've searched here at HammockForum in your months of research. Wasn't there anything useful in the pattern links you found?

A Google search for 'down bootie pattern' turned up some results for me.

I also used this method. Its essentially a ripstop sock and a bigger ripstop sock joined via baffles. it isn't me your talking about; nobody would mistake me for a genius, nor any of my ideas.

Although, I really didn't like this method. It puts loads of pressure on the seams and is really slippery. If I was to do it gain I would have a sewn through sock with possibly a baffled affair if its super cold while in bed.
