Yes, it is a quite a fire hazard. I live in usually very moist Finland and still think if it safe to use here. There should be warning for not to even to think of using it in for example Australia, California, Greece etc. areas with big risk for forest or bush fires.
But as a firebox it is excellent, I recommend fully!
Very hot and easy to burn from those side openings. And as I said very hot and big flame. I have been thinking to use it with aluminum pie mold if any flammable is nearby or under it. It is very nice size also and with the cordura nylon case easy to pack.
