Should I get Cloudburst or Superfly with the Ridgerunner?

The Cloudburst looks simpler to set up, in that it would require fewer stakes/tying/etc... but the Superfly looks like it might protect against rain a little better and offer more privacy.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this topic? Any other issues I should consider? I heard people say that these tarps are actually almost the same size, but it seems like I couldn't tie up the Superfly to look like the Cloudburst because of the extra ties, right? People in other threads were mentioning differences in the height of the tie off points, but I didn't really understand what they meant. Any thoughts?

    Thank you for your help!

You should get the superfly and do the pole modification. If that sounds like to much work, then just get the cloudburst.

I have the cloudburst because the tie outs align perfectly with the spreader bars, and it was recommended by Brandon to use with the rr.

What is meant about the tie off points is how high they are on the sides of the tarp, i.e. (and I haven't measured this, I'm just using the numbers as an example), the Superfly's panel pulls are 3' from the bottom of the tarp sides and the Cloudburst's are 2' up. This puts the Cloudburst's panel pulls more in line with the Ridgerunner poles if you have the tarp set lower down by the hammock. If they (the tarps) are both set higher for fair weather, I don't think it matters.

+1 on what others have said. The primary difference is the location of the panel pulls. If you'll only ever use the tarp with the RR, go with the cloudburst. If there's a possibility you'll use it with another hammock get the Superfly, as the doors are super great with a gathered end hammock (they are nice-ish but less useful with the triangle suspension of a bridge hammock).

I got the cloudburst and the door kit. This adds to the cost as compared to a superfly, but I like the straight cut at the bottom of the cloudburst and the tabs are positioned just right for the RR.
