hey guys new to the forum ,but been reading for a while, there is so much info for a beginner with out all this help I might not have started hanging, I am almost 60 with all kinds of back problems ,and was getting away from camping ( tent ) because of all the bending ,looking for just the right place for my tent ( rock free ) etc etc. i thought my days of getting out there where over ,but a chiropractor suggest that I try a hammock ,he said I would be surprised at the comfort I could get from a properly set up hammock ,so I went for it ,apart from marring my wife ,its the 2nd best decision I have ever made,( wish I had done years go )
first night hanging I slept like a baby ,got up to go fishing and no stiffness or soreness at all ,I had planned only to go 1 night as a test run ended up staying 4 nights ,I am now wanting to hang 1 in my house, the that's how good a nights sleep I got ,I love love love it,I can set up, (tarp bug net and hammock ) and take down in about 7 mins all due to this forum and what I have learned from it ,i have taken a little bit of this and some of that info ,for my set up which I am sure I will be tweaking ,just because its fun to tweak ,again tks everyone for sharing the info .Paul Calgary Alberta Canada
