Moonstone 15 Degree Bag (Long) with 25 Degree Snap In Liner ($120 Shipped)

I bought this bag a few years ago when Moonstone was still in business making bags out on the west coast (made in the USA). It is very similar to a Big Agnes type of bag that has little insulation on the bottom, and uses the top to form the warmth covering, similar to a TQ. I also ordered the extra 25 degree snap in liner, all is Primaloft (a type of synthetic down). That should take it down WELL below 0 , but I never tried to confirm. Has a stuff sack for the bag, but the liner did not come with one. More info: Moonstone sleeping bags. Was almost $380 for all, but will sell and ship for $105 CONUS. Excellent condition, no dirt, tears, etc. Right zip.

    Thanks,

What does the bag weigh? Will it fit a 6' 4" person?

I believe so, I can't find the specifications, but I'm 5'11" and can "slide down and hide"inside the bag body away from the opening. I weighed myself and the bags, liner on our digital scales and the weight of bag, liner and stuff sack says 4.6 pounds. Of my calculations are correct, the bag by itself alone weighs 3.4 pounds. The 25 degree snap in liner weighs only 1.2 pounds. The stuff sack is negligible. Remember they save weight by using less insulation on the BOTTOM, where Big Agnes uses nothing but the sleeve for a pad. It is a great bag, I haven't used it often and don't get out as often anymore.
    Thanks for the interest,

    Replies to Questions:

FIRST- This bag does not have a tube on the underside like a Big Agnes, I had considered having the local seamstress at our cleaners simply sew a thin nylon sheet to the underside just to hold the pad in place, but after using it several times, I never slid off it. The bag is so spacious that you can just simply "roll yourself around or over" and still remain on the pad ( I have used 2 " X 20 wide Thermarest LE for years and never had any problems or gotten cold.
SECOND- I measured the bag just now and laying flat the dimensions are: 88 X 34 inches, the 25 degree snap in liner measures 33 X 72 inches and it come from the foot up to the opening where your chin would be. More interest! Just send PM with e-mail address and I'll send more photos if wanted.
Thanks for the interest shown, it is an excellent bag for the price.

Moonstone WOW! Great company, I really miss them. I still have gear I use all the time and still looks new. They just don't make gear like that anymore.
