I'm wonder the same think. I wonder if it would work with my Claytor jungle Hammock.
Just picked up one. Little thinner than I expected, but also a little smaller as well. Weight is 950 grams (2.1 pounds). It's got a synthetic fill as you know so I hope it's going to work well. It seems to have good reviews and the price is pretty good. It has good, versatile fitting and adjusting system. I know that's half the battle so hopefully it will do the trick. Going to take it out later for a first fitting.
Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago, still haven't properly hung outside, but inside it replaces my diy UQ. It's got plenty of clips and adjustments and for the price it was worth a purchase.
It's taken the edge off any cooled down material where I lay but I need to test it for longer, I just need the time at home!
I made a DIY UQ as well (poncho liner) but I couldn't get it fitted and cinched neatly enough to trap the air. That's why I took a punt on the DD underblanket. Just got back from giving it a try in the woods and I am pleased to say it seemed to work pretty well. It's warm out at the moment so I'll need to give it an overnighter or two but I could feel the buildup of warm air right away. It was easy to fit neatly. The side adjustment toggles in the middle of the length of the blanket mean you can have one side loose, the other side tightened and it fits great. I hope it doesn't shift much in the night but the shock cords and mini 'biners it comes with should mean it stays in place. A bargain at £49 inc. shipping.
I strongly discourage it for anything other than casual use. The design has let me down and i depend on it. It is the same as the snugpak, they last time i checked they make it.
