Very creative splicing there Randy. I like the concept.

So this would be stronger than connecting the three separate pieces with square/larks head, or just more elegant?
Thanks.
Thanks Paul
I think stronger. This method uses one continuous piece of amsteel, which has an avg strength of 1,600lbs. The hammock itself is hung on the mid line eye splices and would have the strength of the Amsteel, less the amount that the splices de-rate the rope.
Looks a lot harder to replace when the whoopies wear out (which they do) than the traditional larks heads method.

Very cool concept! An elegant solution that adds strength. I like what is going on in the DH think tank over there. Thanks for sharing with us.
I use different color whoopies to allow me to easily identify the head end of my Roaming Gnome while it's still in the stuff sack. So, I was thinking that I didn't like the combo approach, since it would all be one color. But then it occurred to me that I don't need different color whoopies since the 'Dream Hammock' label on the stuff sack is closer to one end that the other, and I can just use that to tell me which end is which. Did you do that on purpose?
