This is the first tablecloth hammock hung between a huge oak and the brick side porch pillar on an 80+? year old house. We don't have two trees that will work and didn't want to put weight in it with the straps around the brick pillar. The strap around the tree is a 15' strap, fed through an end loop, attached to a dutchwaregear cinch buckle. We used a zip tie in a 1" channel, then a 12" amsteel continuous loop, double-larks heads around both the end of the hammock under the zip-ties and to the cinch buckles. It is going to a park tomorrow to be hung "for real."
Question is: How are the angles? (I need a hangle!)
This are my first pic uploads too so not sure if you can see the straps or if should have done something different. Suggestions? Tips? All help gratefully accepted. What I most want to know is using the huge tree 2' away and over 13 feet of the strap, does this work with setting the strap on the bricks higher, since there is a lot more strap on that side from the pillar to the hammock. Is there something else I should be asking? Thanks!
