    Emergency no sew bug net

Hi all had an emergency with diy hammock and needed a bug net had the noseam net 5' wide. Folded in half tied the middle to the ridge line. Then gathered the ends together and added a stone to the tied corners and just let hang down not perfect but a workable system with materials on hand when done i will add zipper to one side the other will just hang down. Pictures on phone will down load later and post.

Please post pics when you can. I was thinking of something like this and I am on a break with my sewing machine

i do this too, works great. that's my only bug net i use. i like it because it's not sewn TO THE HAMMOCK in any way, but still provides adequate coverage.

sorry, his are not sewn. mine are sewn, but you could easily put the stones in the corners and just tie around them with a slip knot.

when i meant mine was like his, i meant just being a piece of 5' wide noseeum, mine is sewn in it's entirety, just not sewn to the hammock in any way.

Thank you. When you are in it, do the sides stay on the outside or do they kind of fall into the hammock. And either way how is it when its buggy. When I camp on the beach in VA or MD/DE it is really buggy.

it's fine when it's buggy. the sides stay on the outside of the hammock. it works surprisingly well, i haven't had any issues. i may not sleep as diagonal as some though...
