It's all down to the great advances made in LED technology (if you have a bulb that converts electricity mostly into light instead of converting it mostly into heat, you can put a much more powerful bulb in a flashlight without killing the battery in 5 minutes and/or overheating the whole thing).

I feel so teased....was really sure the titanium cinch buckles were just released.....Good looking stuff though, I do like the Lawson stakes! Must resist another flashlight......must resist.

I'm sure the answer is readily available somwehere, but I've often wondered what the difference is between lash-it zing-it, and the other variants of cord available. Care to enlighten me? Also, what width are the tree straps on the website? Looking to source some 2-inch straps lately to replace my 1-inch.

Lashit and zingit are the same cord just different colors. They're just a thinner version of amsteel. Tree straps are 1" but the seat belt webbing is 2" if you wanted to sew loops on the ends to make tree straps, or you could just tie a bowline on the ends.

Hey Dutch, bought one of those flashlights from you and I gotta say, it's a real keeper.

Can beat the price, and this little thing puts out an amazing amount of light. And as you said the best part is running off an AA battery. One thing I wish the small flashlight makers would do is reverse the clip or make them reversable. I bought a small O-Light years ago that has the clip reversed and it's most handy because you can clip it to the brim of your ball cap and use it hands free if needed... but if the battery dies you better have some spare CR123's on hand.
