Good to see some great folks posting here. Can't wait to meet Little BigA. Grannypat, Chigger, FIMB, cf1383, it'll be great to hang with you folks again. Bonepile, you will be missed. Loki will be putting up a spreadsheet shortly for the Saturday night cookout.

I'm heading up to the cabin on the 10th, the rest of my family in coming up on the 11th. As soon as they get there, I'm planning on heading down there that Friday afternoon if all goes well. If I'm coming from the Waynesville area, would coming down 276 be ok? Looks like it would be a nice scenic drive from Waynesville.

I googled this "The site is located at N35 16.486 W82 47.978 for you GPS enthusiasts." and it just at a road. I finally found what I think is the parking lot but didn't know how to mark it so I can get driving directions.

yep. Driving down 276 from Waynesville area is a beautiful road. Take the 1st PAVED right turn off Hwy 276 southbound onto forest road 475 which is a few miles after you cross south over the Blue Ridge Parkway, then turn left into the fish hatchery parking lot (parking lot visible on google maps)

I'm drawn to the open country. Its where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there I always return with something new.
