Unexpected benefit of my new hammock

I have just changed to a Hammock Bliss Sky Bed, which uses a sleeping pad in a dedicated sleeve. It's the most comfortable hammock I've used so far. I went away from the sleeping pad to an underquilt because the pad used to move around in the old hammy and was just annoying. Now with the Sky Bed it's great, and the flattest lay I've had in a gathered end hammock.

The unexpected benefit is that I was about to buy a down top quilt to replace my sleeping bag. Now I can use a cheaper less insulating sleeping bag and the under quilt on top. It's just a 3/4 underquilt but as it's a 20 deg quilt it is so insluating that it turns a low-spec sleeping bag into an extreme bag. I've just saved some serious $$!

Very cool -- I could never get comfortable with a pad so went to a DIY UQ. Very comfortable, but requires adjusting.

Would love to know what kind of pad you use and how well it stays put?

The sleeve is perfectly tailored to most standard mats so doesn't move at all.
