Hennessy Hex tarp - does it come with a stuff sack?

I'm looking to get a 2nd tarp as a backup for when a friend comes camping with me. I do a lot of kayak camping so weight isn't really a concern. I think the Hennessy Hex is the most cost effective "real" rainfly on the market. Does the tarp come with any sort of stuff sack? The hennessy site doesn't say.

Anyone have any issues with them, like the coating coming off or anything like that?

I've bought two - one through JRB and one through REI. Both came with stuff sacks and guy lines for the tie outs. They are very large, very comfortable tarps. I've had mine for over a year and have had no issues with them.

I've had several HH Hex Tarps over the years. When I purchased mine they did not come with a stuff sack, (that has changed based on what I read in other posts), but since I snake skin them, that has never been an issue.

I agree that they are a great value for the size if the weight cost isn't an issue, and they are great for back ups for friends and family out for the first time or two.

I am pretty sure my oldest one was picked up sometime around 2007 and I have not experienced any loss of the coating.

Thanks for replies, I have a few more questions for the hex owners:

    1. I've heard and seen pictures that it's not a uniform hex shape, but is actually cut a little asym to match their hammocks. How much do the sides not match up, and is that a problem if you're running a non-hennessy hammock?

    2. is it a big deal that it doesn't have side pull-outs? My primary tarp, the superfly, has side pulls and I use them on most every trip.

    In response -

1 - The two I have are both cut symmetrically. The one I use is skinned, and I don't pay attention to which one is the 'head' or 'foot' end.

2 - I remedied the pull outs by using the clip on version by dutch. http://dutchwaregear.com/clip-on-tarp-pull-outs.html
Since I use trekking poles, one of my sides is more often then not in porch mode.

I got mine about 10 months ago, the 70D, it does comes with a stuff sack but you'll never get it back into it. You may want to get some snake skins for the tarp, they fit.

Do the Dutch pull outs cause any stress or rubs in the coating? I like that idea

For the record, even though these are sold by Dutch, they are actually made by Tato Gear.
