Is there a disadvantage of having a long under quilt?

I am 5'7" and would fit in a regular size quilt. However, is there an disadvantage to purchasing a long underquilt just to cover more?
I am looking to purchase the Arrow Head New River Under Quilt
    thanks!

A little extra weight but other than that no problem with a long....You get the room to sprawl out a little more.

I didn't particularly like my extra long under quilt I had. It was a HG incubator long and it barely even fit on my WBBB. It was always finicky and could never get an airtight fit on the head end. After that experience, I went and got a 3/4 length JRB greylock 3 and have loved it. Just my opinion.

Another way to look at it: what advantage would a 5'7" person hope to gain by a longer quilt? The regular is 5 inches longer than you and the long 11 inches longer. I can't see any advantage.

The disadvantage is the extra weight. The advantage is that getting the quilt in the exact spot you need it to be in all night long to keep you from squirming enough to get your shoulders into the cold is not as difficult as with a shorter quilt. I'm six foot tall and use a 7 foot Underwoobie. If that puppy is in the center of the hammock, I can have center mass of my body as much as a six inches from the center of the hammock and I know I'm covered. I also hate cold feet, and my feet always felt cold when they were not covered by the same thickness of insulation under the rest of my body.

I also like them wide. Mine are 5 feet wide. Its like a warm hug from your momma when the quilt wraps up around the side. Having it up around the sides makes a dandy windbreak, too.
